Here are some of the comments we received through the the consultation events and responses received by post, email and telephone:

“There is a need to have a proper cycle route in the area with provision for cycle parking in the local centers and the train stations. Currently cyclists either have to risk their lives riding on the road or have to take to the footways causing problems for pedestrians.”

“Acocks Green has issues related to pedestrian crossings and narrow footway width on the north side. There are parking issues and the buses are delayed in the centre as well. Acocks Green needs to be revived to a vibrant local centre with needs of pedestrians being the key to any improvements in the area.”

“Stockfield Road junction is a dangerous junction and has many safety issues. A lot of people try to avoid this by taking several rat- run routes in the area.”

“As a wheelchair user or someone with a buggy, it is very difficult to access Tysley or Acocks Green Rail station.”

“The bus lane at the approach to Acocks Green causes lots of delays. It is better off being taken out.”

“Have more trains stop at Tyseley Stations”

“It is hard to park at the stations as Park and ride facilities are always full at Solihull, Olton and Acocks Green stations. “

“Allow number 11 bus service to stop outside Wilkinson’s in Acocks Green as they get held up in traffic”
