Project Stages
The project is divided into three stages and we are currently at Stage 1 of the project.
Stage 1 – Route Strategy
The first stage of the project involves gathering people’s views to help understand the REAL issues and opportunities along the Warwick Road route.
To do this we had contacted everyone who lives along and /or uses Warwick Road. This includes:
- Local residents,
- Local businesses,
- Local shoppers,
- Local schools,
- Local councillors,
- Commuters, and
- Others who use the route and the area.
With your views identified we are now using them to develop a Route Strategy, which will look at the short, medium and long-term objectives for the route.
Stage 2 – Route Measures
Stage 2 will develop a package of potential schemes to address the issues identified in Stage 1. Some of these will be at a route-wide level, while others will be at a much smaller local level. The ultimate aim is to improve your experiences when using the route. Once these proposals have been put together we will ask people what they think of them so they can be adapted where necessary to reflect any additional comments and ideas.
Stage 3 – Implementation and Monitoring
In the final stage of the project, the Route Measures from Stage 2 will be implemented. Following this, the impact of these measures will be monitored. Part of this process will involve contributions from the public to find out if their experiences of using and living along the route have altered as a result of the changes.
